Meet Marni

Hey, I’m Marni.  A busy mum, wife, and business owner who knows what it’s like to juggle it all. ​ I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 12 years, and honestly, something has never sat right with me. Too often it sells the image of lean, sculpted, stage-ready bodies, the kind that take years of dedication, restriction, sacrifice, and obsession to achieve, as if that’s the gold standard of health. It gets packaged up into a “6-week shred” and pushed onto everyday women, convincing us this is what fitness and health should look like. But it's BS. The truth is behind those images, many of these women are struggling with fatigue, poor mental health, malnutrition, hormone issues and even loss of their menstrual cycle, all from living in a constant calorie deficit and hammering their bodies with high training volumes. That’s not health. That’s extreme. And just like obesity carries risks, so does living at that end of the spectrum. So where does that leave the rest of us? The women who don’t want to live in extremes, but want to feel strong, capable, and confident in our everyday lives? For me, the sweet spot has always been the middle ground. Where balance, consistency, and real health actually live. That’s why I’m passionate about cutting through the noise and showing women that thriving doesn’t mean punishing workouts or restrictive diets. It’s about balance, building healthy habits, and actually enjoying the process. No matter your age or fitness level, you can feel strong, confident, and capable, not just in the gym, but in everyday life. My approach meets you exactly where you’re at. No shame, no excuses, no comparisons. We strip it back to the basics and build them up in a way that feels doable (sometimes even too easy at first). But that’s the point. Step by step, those basics add up until an active, healthy life isn’t just something you do, it’s who you are.   QUALIFICATIONS - Certificate III & IV in Fitness - Accredited Certificate in Nutrition - Pregnancy, Pre & Post Natal Training - 12 years experience as a female fitness trainer and coach

Why Move Embrace?

As a crazy-busy Gen Y woman, I know the juggle all too well. The endless tasks, responsibilities, and demands never stop, and for many of us in our 30s, 40s, and 50s, exercise ends up as just another item on the never-ending to-do list. More often than not, it gets pushed aside for “another time.”

But here’s the thing: I see too many women my age stepping to the sidelines of life. They stop trying new things. They avoid physical challenges. They lose trust in their bodies, scared of injury, failure, judgment or simply not being able to stick it out.

What’s heartbreaking is that these same women can often be the loudest cheerleaders for their kids. Supporting them to try new things, to do their best, be proud of themselves and to never give up, yet they don’t give themselves that same encouragement.

 

Here’s the truth: staying active is the secret to longevity. If we start slowing down in our 30s and 40s and stop prioritising movement, we limit what’s possible in our 50s, 60s, and beyond. Waiting for life to “settle down” or for the kids to get older? That’s just another way of saying “I’ll start tomorrow.” And we all know tomorrow never comes.

 

I get it, starting out can feel a bit daunting, overwhelming and honestly, not that appealing. But that’s where I step in. Let me meet you where you're at and help you create a plan that gives you structure, progression, and the confidence to move forward. A plan that supports your body through midlife and all its ups and downs, so you can stay strong, healthy, energised, and confident long into the future.

It’s not about shortcuts, six-week shreds, or restrictive diets. We've all been there, and it never sticks. It’s about looking at the whole picture, finding balance, moving with purpose, and building and embracing a lifestyle you actually want to live.
